The Ibex is a multi-purpose tool, not an effect. It's a DI box with a balanced XLR output. It's a preamp with two-band EQ. It's a mixer for blending two instruments or any two audio signals. It's a headphone amp. And it's a clean booster with up to 20 dB gain! The signal quality is very clean and strong, uncolored but with plenty of balls. The EQ has very wide bandwidth, for broad tonal shaping that is suitable for any instrument. And the mixing is a clean, hassle-free 50/50 buffered blend of the two inputs. This is a tool that belongs in everyone's kit bag! All new EXAR pedals use silent true-bypass switching, and they have 1 Meg input impedance, to bring out all the high-end detail even from passive instruments and long cables. The housing is rugged cast metal, in the same small size as MXR, Keeley, and other compact pedals, plus it has a convenient easy-access battery door.
